The 3-Day National Weather Outlook
Outlook for Monday:
Temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees colder than normal across
MN, northern WI, Upper MI, SD, NE and eastern ND.
Temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees above normal
across OR, WA, ID and MT. Temperatures will be 5 to
10 degrees above normal across ME and from OK
to NC and VA.
Showers and a few thunderstorms will fall on OR,
northern CA, northern NV, ID, UT, WY, western SD and CO.
Rainfall amounts will be up to 1 inch. Up to a foot of snow
will be possible over southwest and south-central SD,
southeast WY and northeast CO.
Rain will be over KS, NE, IA and WI with rainfall
amounts of 0.40" to 1.50" with local 4.50" amounts.
North winds will gusts to 40 mph. Up to 16 inches of
snow will be possible over western and central NE
and along the west half of the border with SD. 6 to 12 inches
of snow will fall on southwest SD and southeast WY.
Severe thunderstorms are likely across IA, eastern
NE and eastern KS. Flooding is likely over southern IA.
Showers and thunderstorms will be over OK, AR and
MO with a few severe thunderstorms likely. The
most severe weather will be over AR, and southern and
eastern MO. Flash flooding will be possible across
northern MO where local rainfall in excess of 6 inches
will occur along with widespread severe thunderstorms.
Showers and thunderstorms - some severe - will be
over IL, IN, OH, MI, western PA and WV. Damage will
be widespread. Flash flooding is likely over IL, IN, OH
and southern MI with up to 5 inches of rain.
Showers will be over ME, NH, VT, MA, CT and RI.
Rainfall be 0.10" to 0.25".
Snow showers will be over northern MI, northern WI
and northern MN with local snowfall of 1 to 3 inches.
Outlook for Tuesday:
Temperatures will be 5 to 15 degrees below normal
across the northeast US from PA and WV to ME.
Temperatures will be 5 to 15 degrees below normal
across CA and NV. Temperatures will be near normal
across the rest of the country.
Severe thunderstorms will pound northern, central
and east TX, AR, southern MO, KY, TN, northern MS,
northern AL, WV, VA, MD, DE, DC, northern GA,
western SC and much of NC. Damage will be widespread.
Flash flooding will be most likely across northern TX,
AR, TN, KY, WV and VA where local rainfall amounts
will exceed 4 inches.
Rain will fall on PA, OH, NY and NJ. Snow will be mixed
with the rain across western and northern NY. Rainfall
will be 0.10" to 0.50". Upstate NY snowfall will be 1 to
3 inches.
Rain and snow will fall on NH, VT and western ME with
elevations above 3000 feet picking up 2 to 6 inches of
snow.
Isolated showers will be over northern CA, OR and ID
with spotty 0.10" amounts.Outlook for Wednesday:Temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees colder than
normal over CA and western NV. Temperatures across
the Northeast will be 5 to 15 degrees below normal
from WV and VA to ME. Temperatures will be 5 to 15
degrees above normal from ND and SD to WA and OR.
Snow showers will be scattered across WI and MI.
Accumulations will be around an inch.
Showers and a few thunderstorms will be over the
south half of TX. Some may be severe. Rainfall
amounts will be 0.20" to 0.60".
Showers and thunderstorms - some severe - will
be over southern AL, southern GA, southern SC
and northern FL. Rainfall amounts will range up to
5 inches.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be over
northern and central CA with spotty 0.25" amounts.

Showers of rain and snow will be over MI, northwest PA
and western NY. Rainfall will be up to 0.25" and snowfall
will be up to 2 inches.
Light rain showers with amounts less than 0.20" will fall
on the rest of OH, PA and NY.
Showers and thunderstorms with areas of heavy rain and
hail will be over NH, VT, MA, CT, RI and ME. Rainfall will
range up to 1 inch.
Showers and thunderstorms will be over KY, TN, western
VA, WV, and western NC with up to 0.40". A couple of
the thunderstorms may become severe.
Showers and thunderstorms will be over eastern NE, KS, OK,
MO, northern AR and southern IL. Severe thunderstorms will
be likely and damage reports will increase through the
overnight hours. Flash flooding will develop across KS,
the east half of NE and much of MO. Up to 6 inches of
rain will be possible in localized areas.
Showers and thunderstorms will be over southern MN,
SD, IA, western NE, WY and CO. Rainfall will be 0.15"
to 0.75". Severe flooding will develop across western SD.
Isolated showers will be over NV, northern UT southern
ID and northern CA. Rainfall will range up to 0.10".
Rain and snow showers will be over northern MN, ND,
northern WI and Upper MI. Rainfall will be under 0.20".

WI, IL, MI and northern IN. temperatures will be 5 to 10
degrees below normal across CA and NV. Temperatures will
be 5 to 10 degrees above normal from TX and the southern
Plains to ND and MT.
Showers and a few thunderstorms will be over northern CA
and northwest NV. Up to 0.50" of rain will be possible.
Isolated rain showers will be over MT, ID, northwestern WY,
northern NV and northern UT with up to 0.25".
Showers or steady light rain will be over MI, WI, eastern MN,
northern IL and northern IN with 0.10" to 0.40".
Showers and thunderstorms will be over the eastern part of the
country will fall across FL, SC, NC, VA, WV, MD, DC, DE,
NJ and PA. Severe thunderstorms will be likely and flash
flooding will be possible.
Shower and thunderstorms, a few severe, will be over NY,
CT, MA, RI, NH, VT and southern ME. Locally heavy rains

Outlook for Tuesday:Temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees below normal
over ND, SD, MN and NE. Temperatures will be
5 to 15 degrees above normal across the northern
Rockies as well as an area from TX northeastward
across the Great Lakes.
Heavy snow will fall on eastern MT, western SD,
and southwestern ND with an additional 6 to 16 inches.
Winds will be gusting over 60mph from the northwest.
Lighter snows of 1 to 4 inches will fall on central SD.
Another 0.30" to 1.00" of rain will fall on the rest
of ND and eastern SD, causing areas of flooding.
Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered across
MN during the morning with scattered afternoon
showers. Some severe weather is possible during
the morning.
Severe thunderstorms with large hail, tornadoes and
damaging wind will be likely over MN, WI, IL, most of IA,
MO, western KY, western TN, AR, western IN and
western Upper MI.
Rain and snow showers will be scattered over the

The 3-Day National Weather Outlook
Outlook for Monday:
Temperatures will be 5 to 15 degrees colder than
normal over the northwest including UT, ID, WA,
OR, MT, WY and western CO. Temperatures
will be 5 to 15 degrees above normal over the
central US from east TX to AL, northward to MN, WI
and MI. Temperatures elsewhere will be near normal.
Showers and thunderstorms will be over southern PA,
NJ, DE, DC, NC, SC, VA, WV and MD. Rainfall amounts
will be 0.10" to 0.45" with local amounts to 1.50".
The heavier rain may cause flash flooding over already
saturated ground. Severe thunderstorms with large
hail and damaging wind will be likely. The thunderstorms
will move off shore during the afternoon.
Severe thunderstorms will be widespread during the
afternoon and overnight hours across eastern NE, IA,
MO, and eastern and central ND and SD. Very large hail,
damaging wind and flash flooding will be the main threats.
Heavy rain will cause flooding over central and eastern
ND, the eastern two-thirds of SD and northern NE.
Up to 5 inches of rain will fall on these areas.
Heavy snow will fall on eastern MT, eastern WY,
western SD and western ND. Over a 10 to 20 inches
will fall on the Black Hills of SD and WY with lighter
amounts elsewhere. High wind will cause significant
drifting.
Snow showers will be over WY, northern CO, ID,
northeastern UT with 6 to 10 inches above 3500 feet.
The heaviest snow will be over ID, northeastern UT,
western WY and northern CO.
Snow showers will be scattered across MT with
very light amounts. Outlook for Tuesday:Temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees below normal
over ND, SD, MN and NE. Temperatures will be
5 to 15 degrees above normal across the northern
Rockies as well as an area from TX northeastward
across the Great Lakes.
Heavy snow will fall on eastern MT, western SD,
and southwestern ND with another 6 to 16 inches.
High wind will continue. Lighter snows of 1 to 4 inches
will fall on central SD.
Another 0.30" to 1.00" of rain will fall on the rest
of ND and eastern SDcausing areas of flooding.
Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered across
MN during the morning with scattered afternoon
showers. Some severe weather is possible during
the morning.

A Snow Storm and More Tornadoes

The 3-Day National Weather Outlook
Outlook for Sunday:
Temperatures will be 5 to 15 degrees below normal over
northern CA, northern NV, ID, MT, WA and OR with
temperatures 20 degrees colder than normal over WA,
OR and extreme northern CA. Temperatures will be
5 to 10 degrees below normal over NH, VT, ME, MA
and CT. Temperatures elsewhere will be near normal.
Showers and thunderstorms will be over WI, MI, IA, OH,
PA, WV, VA, MD, southern NY, NJ, DE and DC. Rainfall
amounts will be under 0.30"Severe thunderstorms will be most likely across IA, IL,
northern MO, IN, OH, WV, VA and KY. Flash flooding will
also be likely across IL, eastern IA and IN. Other severe
weather threats include tornadoes, large hail and wind
gusts of up to 100 mph.
Showers will be likely over the north half of CA, the north
half of NV, northern UT, western WY and central MT with
general rainfall amounts of up to 0.40". Local rainfall of 2 to 4
inches will fall on the north half of CA with flooding and
landslides.
Rain and snow will fall on ID, WA, OR and western and
central MT with snow above 300 feet. Local snowfall
amounts of 8 to 18 inches will be likely. Rainfall will range
up to 1 inch.
Outlook for Monday:
Temperatures will be 5 to 15 degrees colder than
normal over the northwest including UT, ID, WA,
OR, MT, WY and western CO. Temperatures
will be 5 to 15 degrees above normal over the
central US from east TX to AL, northward to MN, WI
and MI. Temperatures elsewhere will be near normal.
Showers and thunderstorms will be over southern PA,
NJ, DE, DC, NC, VA, WV and MD. Rainfall amounts
will be 0.10" to 0.45" with local amounts to 1.50".
The heavier rain may cause flash flooding over already
saturated ground. Severe thunderstorms with large
hail and damaging wind will be likely. The thunderstorms
will move off shore during the afternoon.
Severe thunderstorms will be widespread during the
afternoon and overnight hours across eastern NE, IA,
MO, eastern KS, northern AR, eastern OK, IL, eastern
SD, southern MN, western TN and western KY. Tornadoes,
very large hail, damaging wind and flash flooding will be
the main threats.
Heavy rain will cause flooding over western MN, the
eastern two-thirds of ND, the eastern two-thirds of
SD and northern NE. Up to 5 inches of rain will fall
on these areas.
Heavy snow will fall on eastern MT, eastern WY,
western SD and western ND. Over a 10 to 20 inches
will fall on the Black Hills of SD and WY with lighter
amounts elsewhere. High wind will cause significant
drifting.
Snow showers will be over WY, northern CO, ID,
northeastern UT with 6 to 10 inches above 3500 feet.
The heaviest snow will be over ID, northeastern UT,
western WY and northern CO.
Snow showers will be scattered across MT with
very light amounts. Outlook for Wednesday:Temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees below normal
over ND, SD, MN and NE. Temperatures will be
5 to 15 degrees above normal across the northern
Rockies as well as an area from TX northeastward
across the Great Lakes.
Heavy snow will fall on eastern WY, western SD,
and southwestern ND with another 6 to 16 inches.
High wind will continue. Lighter snows of 1 to 4 inches
will fall on central SD.
Another 0.30" to 1.00" of rain will fall on the rest
of ND causing areas of flooding.
Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered across
MN during the morning with scattered afternoon
showers. Some severe weather is possible during
the morning.
Severe thunderstorms with large hail, tornadoes and
damaging wind will be likely over WI, IL, eastern IA,
MO, western KY, western TN, AR, western IN and
western Upper MI.
A few showers will be over northwest WA.
